Spartans Add Russian Forward Daniel Stavila

Introducing Daniel Stavila

The Almaguin Spartans are thrilled to announce the addition of Daniel Stavila. The 2004-born Russian forward joins the Spartans from Phoenix PMGMU Moskva.

Assistant Coach’s Insights

Spartans Assistant Coach Ivan Skvortsov shared his thoughts on the addition of Stavila: “I am really happy Daniel is joining our program. He played University Hockey in Russia last season, and I think he will fit in well with our program. He is a strong skater and plays a 200-foot game. I think he will be a good asset on the penalty kill and in the defensive zone. Daniel is excited to be coming to play in Canada, and I am excited to work with him on a daily basis.”

Role and Expectations

Daniel Stavila brings valuable experience and skill to the Spartans. His ability to play both offensively and defensively makes him a versatile player. We expect Daniel to contribute significantly, especially in crucial situations like penalty kills and defensive plays. His excitement about playing in Canada and his dedication to the sport will undoubtedly make him a great addition to our team.
